Matt Casey is a well-known British hi-fi speaker specialist and technician and owner of Haycross Audio. Over the years he has become highly regarded in the audiophile community for his expertise in restoring, modifying, upgrading and rebuilding loudspeakers.

I have always had a passion for HiFi since I was young. I built my very first pair of speakers using drivers from a few cassette recorders and cardboard boxes. I was only about 12 though LOL.

Over the years during my electrical engineering career HiFi and especially speakers were always my hobby. 

In the last 10 years since moving to Devon the loud speaker work became more and more the focus of my work and passion. I developed my own measurement space and setup to fully understand issues with speakers and to aid understanding and design work. Over the past 6 years my work really has just been on loud speakers. Initially refurbishing and repairing but more so upgrading and improving based on measurements and data.

My vast experience with all types and makes of speaker has led me to this point where I now design and build speakers. Not only my HA range but also unique one off designs which I love building.
