The HA3/5 have the following features -

Cabinets constructed from 18mm MDF. Glued and screwed.
Cabinet and are fully lined with 25mm open cell foam.
Front baffles made from hardwood Birch Ply-wood.
Real wood veneer continuously matched over the sides and top. Will be available in a variety of finishes. Light Oak, Rosewood, Wild Apple, Zebrano, Walnut etc. 30 finishes to choose from!
Cabinets finished with Danish oil / Tru-Oil.
Polypropylene cone 5.25 inch woofer. Large motor and wide voice coil.
Dynavox Ribbon Tweeter.
Close acoustic centres between drivers providing superior off-axis performance.
Approx 3.5kHz crossover point. Time and phase acurate.
Port tuned to 55Hz
Complex crossover design. 3rd Order LF. 3rd Order HF with upper frequency control capacitor.
All Air Core Copper inductors used.
JB Premium polypropylene capacitors used throughout.
High quality resistors used.
Pure copper wiring. All point to point soldered.
Banana plug type binding posts. Non-ferrous.
Ply-wood frame covers finished with black acoustically transparent cloth. Velcro fixing will pull tab for easy removal.

HA3/5 Measurement Data

Unlike other speaker manufacturers both large and small I feel it is very important to be open and transparent about your product especially measurement data. Whilst how the speaker actually sounds in room is the most important thing, after all a speaker is there to reproduce sound and music and not to be stared at with graphs in your hand, the measurements play a key roll in all of this. As part of the design process measurements are taken at various stages. They allow you to go back after listening to see where areas need adjusting. Publishing this data in my view is very important so that clients can make a fully informed decision before committing to a purchase.

I have shown on and off axis measurements and also the spectral decay.

The HA3/5 does have low sensitivity but that shouldn't be viewed as a negative. It is mearly a result of the detailed crossover design used and the desire to get as much depth, detail and full bodied sound from this small design. Amplifiers these days have plenty of power. Even with low powered Tubes these work well.
